Top Picks Part II

These colorful creatures are very appealing.

I love all the details here and the facial expressions.

I don't know who will win this battle Godzilla or this really ripped dude? :) The bystander is shouting in horror. On a side note there is a really nice cross that one student made as a charm for a necklace.

The stylish penguin is trying to make peace between the blue elephant and the tiki man.

The Top Picks

Old McDonald had a farm...
Some knarly penguins and a cowboy!

This orange U.F.O. shows thinking outside of the box!

I love this guy with dred locks and yes, that is a toilet :) Challenging what art is even at 5th grade!

These were some of my favorite ones based on their creativity and effort.

Pencil People/Creatures Part II

Pencil People/Creatures

This was a massive undertaking with all of the fourth and fifth grade. They were given basic directions and freedom to allow their imaginations to run wild. As you can see they came out really good. The students loved them and begged me to finish firing them everyday they saw me. Hopefully this will be something they can keep for many years to come. If it is not clear by the last picture all of these people or creatures can sit on the end of their pencils.

This is just a test post to get this blog officially started

This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken of student art work. This wonderful Christmas ornament was created by a first grader last school year with clay. The heart and the cross was totally the students idea. Its brilliant and moving!
